Morbach is a small town with approx. 11,000 inhabitants located close Trier. Here one fo largest ammunition storages for the US army was situated. After the military left in the middle of the nineties the approx.150 hectares were returned to Morbach. Here an energy landscape was established with 14 wind turbines, several free-field and rooftop plants as well as a biogas plant and a wood chip production plant.
